Digital Transformation in Economic Development
Selected Papers from the International Scientific Conference on Economic Development and Simon Kuznets’ Legacy (CED 2026), Kharkiv, Ukraine, October 2026
Conference participants are invited to submit full-length research papers for consideration for inclusion in an edited volume to be published by Springer. The volume will feature a selection of high-quality papers arising from CED 2026 and addressing digital transformation, economic development, innovation, and related areas of research. Papers will be selected on the basis of their relevance to the scope of the book, scholarly quality, originality, and the outcome of peer review. Submission of a manuscript or participation in CED 2026 does not guarantee publication in the Springer volume. Manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using the Springer template provided below.
SPRINGER PAPER TEMPLATE
Paper length: 10–14 pages in total, including figures, tables, and references, when formatted using the Springer template. Submissions must report original, previously unpublished work and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission.
The paper should make a clear scholarly contribution and fall within the scope of the book Digital Transformation in Economic Development. Each manuscript should include the paper title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, ORCID IDs, e-mail address of the corresponding author.
Please check author names, affiliations, author order, and corresponding-author details carefully before submitting the final version. Changes to authorship may no longer be possible once the manuscript has entered production.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Please submit your full paper by e-mail no later than October 5, 2026 to: nauka@hneu.net
Suggested e-mail subject line: CED 2026 Springer submission – [Corresponding Author Surname]. Please attach the manuscript as an editable Microsoft Word (.docx) file prepared using the Springer template.
REVIEW AND SELECTION
All submissions will undergo an initial editorial screening for fit with the scope of the volume, academic quality, originality, and compliance with the submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will proceed to peer review. Authors may be asked to revise their papers in response to reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Only papers that successfully complete the review and revision process and meet the scientific, editorial, and technical requirements of the volume will be recommended for publication. Final acceptance is subject to compliance with Springer Nature’s editorial and production requirements.
ORIGINALITY AND PUBLICATION ETHICS
Authors must comply with Springer Nature policies on authorship, originality, citation, research integrity, conflicts of interest, and the use of third-party material. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to another publication venue are not permitted. The publisher may use plagiarism-detection software to screen submitted content. All listed authors must have made an appropriate contribution to the work, approved the submitted version, and agreed to its submission for publication. The use of AI tools in manuscript preparation must comply with Springer Nature’s current policies. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, and AI-assisted content must be disclosed where required by publisher policy.
PUBLISHING AGREEMENT
For papers accepted for publication, the corresponding author will be required to complete the applicable Springer Nature publishing agreement on behalf of all co-authors. Further instructions and publication documents will be provided to the authors of accepted papers by the volume editors.
